With the new Eclipse Ei Microscope, students can learn how to operate the microscope by using their smartphone to scan a QR Code affixed to each microscope. The smartphone-friendly SmartGuide provides video lectures on the basic operation, contents on the details of the microscopes operation and proper cleaning. Adding a DS1000 digital camera is a great option for the Ei microscope allowing users to record images and videos of samples and for sharing those images on a monitor for group observations. Combining NIS-Elements L imaging software and a PC to the configuration allows sample images to be shared with other PCs and smart devices via a network expanding the science and technology classroom into a remote online learning experience.
